Thoreau Cabin

"Well, for the second year in a row we've had what all four kids called a PERFECT week in the Thoreau cabin--The new deck is absolutely fantastic, we ate supper outside nearly every night (and spotted warblers and woodpeckers from it in the mornings....) We repeated last year's rituals (swimming and fishing, blueberry picking and birdwatching, canoeing and exploring) and added some new ones (a lakeside bonfire under the full moon on our last night, swinging on the rope swing, lolling on the new floating dock)."

Thoreau Living Room

The living area of the Thoreau cabin is light and airy, with vaulted ceilings and post and beam construction.

Thoreau Dining and Kitchen Area

The great room area opens to the kitchen and a dining area which overlooks the large deck and fire pit area.

Thoreau Bedrooms and Bunkhouse

The 3 bedrooms and bunkhouse provide loads of sleeping space for a large crew. The bunkhouse is separate from the main cabin and is great fun for kids.

Thoreau Deck and Drive

The deck is the large and easy to access off the living room. The drive up is well marked, and all of the property amenities are about a five minute walk down to the Cove, trails, and beaches.
